Acer CloudMobile spotted in the wild prior to MWC debut
Acer was on hand during Milan’s Fashion Week to show off its CloudMobile smartphone. The handset is equipped with a 4.3-inch 1280 x 720-pixel HD display, a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, NFC, an 8-megapixel camera and Android 4.1 Ice Cream Sandwich. Apple confirmed on Tuesday that it plans to build a second data center in Prineville, Oregon. Citi: Positive Trends Ahead for E-Commerce
According to a brief from comScore, total U.S. online spending in January -- including retail and travel -- grew 13 percent year over year to $23 billion, compared to 11 percent in December. Both months were pointing slightly downward from fourth-quarter online spending, which saw 14 percent year-over-year growth, but Citi analyst Mark Mahaney said in a note that he sees overall positive trends ahead in e-commerce, with the possibility of seeing pre-recession 20 percent growth rates. Key segments contributing to January's overall growth included online sales of computer software, jewelry and watches, and home electronics.

Amazon may launch a larger Kindle Fire in Q2
Amazon is reportedly preparing to launch a follow up to the company’s wildly successful Kindle Fire. The specs have not yet been finalized, however Amazon is expected to deliver samples to�manufacturers�by March, according to the�China Times. Whitney Houston's Funeral to Be Livestreamed
Whitney Houston's funeral -- scheduled for Saturday in New Jersey with 1,500 invited guests, including a smattering of celebrities, expected to attend -- will be available for real-time viewing on the Web through the Associated Press's AP Live Web site, CNN reports. The last livestreamed megacelebrity funeral in recent memory was that of Michael Jackson, who died in July 2009. That Web broadcast spiked Web traffic by 19 percent.
