Sony Ericsson CEO: We underestimated the iPhone
Sony Ericsson’s CEO Bert Nordberg recently sat down for an interview with The Wall Street Journal during which he said his company “should have taken the iPhone more seriously when it arrived in 2007.” Norgberg reiterated Sony Ericsson’s�intentions to dissolve its feature phone business by the middle of next year as it focuses more on building out Android and broadening its U.S. portfolio. “By now, some 70% of our sales stem from smartphones and some time in the middle of next year, I estimate that we will be a complete smartphone company,” he said.
